  This place has so much potential but...... The rooms are stuffy and dark, there are views if you cut some trees down. The rooms desperately need an upgrade, broken taps and the carpet was threadbare and stained. The cooked breakfast was possibly the worst I have paid for. The eggs were tasteless and powdery and the elk cranberry sausage was so dry I could not eat it. Dinner was very good and the service was always attentive. Great walks around the lake.

  En route from the Fraser Valley to Lethbridge, I stopped by Emerald Lake Lodge to view the area & facilities for a future visit. I was surprised to see vehicles are separated from the Lodge. A shuttle arrives to ferry guests & luggage, separating from the noise. The weather was rainy, foggy. The lake still had a skiff of snow atop. I see where it gets its name from. Amazing emerald colour. There were separate cabins with row boats, docks, kids hiking. From a distance the main lodge area looked like something from a novel. The whole area was rugged, peaceful, wild, calm. I'm looking forward to staying a few nights there.

  Wonderful cozy atmosphere. You really feel like you're out in the bush. But the luxurious amenities are excellent as well. The rooms are a little cozy and you can hear a lot of your neighbors. Almost every cabin that I saw has some sort of lake view. And they seem to all have wood but ing fireplaces which is extra cozy. Really romantic. Really nice. Maybe not the best for rambunctious kids. But if you can rent both adjoining suites then should be fine.
